Leadfoot
Just a "heads up" for any members with a new Fusion or Escape that has the 1.6L EB. No other engines are affected. http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autoblog.com%2F2012%2F11%2F30%2Fford-recalling-89k-2013-fusion-and-escape-models-over-engine-fir%2F
SHOdded
Hope they get this resolved quickly and permanently. Would like to know the real reason for this problem too!
vernonator
From what I have read/heard it is most likely NOT an issue with the engine as other 1.6EB's are not affected. Must be an issue with heat proofing in the engine bays
swetrid
Supposedly is has to due with a core plug in the cylinder head coming out and spewing enough coolant on the exhaust to cause a fire.
