Also Mike(BPD) and I have been discussing it too. Really don't want to stay in a real junk hole, but seems to be Mechanicsburg might be the best place to stay. Not real far, but trying to get a decent place with a good rate. Rich will be going where we decide, and trying to work with Todd Weaver and Kevin Dostie on FB too. If it helps cut down on expenses, or a break is needed to split up the drive time, I can make my house available for an overnight stay, or what have you. My plans are to leave VERY EARLY on Thursday, like leaving my house around 4am-ish, in order to make it to whatever hotel we decide upon, by Thursday late afternoon, maybe early evening depending on any pitstops. So anyone that would like to arrive at my place on Wednesday, and crash for a few hours, etc. just lmk. Might be kind of neat getting a mini caravan going. mjhpadi Posted December 27, 2016 Report Share Posted December 27, 2016 After further review and looking at pricing, I am now thinking I will only stay down Thursday and Friday night, then just hang out with everyone on Saturday if we have any plans, but stay at my house Saturday night...depending on the weather I may or may not show up Sunday and again depending on how many of our folks are going to be there on Sunday. I got 7 rooms on hold at Parks Inn Radisson, Harrisburg west in Mechanicsburg PA. Its about 20 miles from the showfield. Rate is 130.13 plus tax per night. Some have doubles, some kings. I just told her to hold rooms. Call 1-717-697-0321, give them your name and tell them you want one of the rooms on hold from Brian Michael.
