sho89mtx
just got my new colder plugs installed and BG fuel injection/air injection program and the car runs great, but still when I check my check engine light code it has these codes on it: p0312-cylinder 12 misfire(cylinder 12, i though are cars are v6;s, what does this mean?) p0111-iat sensor failure now I just found out that I have a custom exhaust system where they removed the muffler and put in like bullet mufflers and removed the rear 3rd cat and replaced with straight pipe. Would that have anything to do with it? thanks in advance for your help, Scott
mjhpadi
Check the wires that run to the sensor on the front driver's side of the engine. The edge of the head is very sharp and some people have experienced shorts and codes because the edge of the head will cut though the wiring insulation and then you have bare wire touching the metal of the head. It may or may not be your problem. It's one that we found and Ford has yet to acknowledge that this happens. But is happened several times. Some of us have but protection over the wiring so it protects it from the head rubbing it. SHOdded

I checked the wire and it was exposed and had a cut in it, I wrapped it in electrical tape and plugged in back in and cleared the DTC and hope that fixed the problems. The other codes went away since i've installed the new plugs, so probably a plug problem SHOdded
sho89mtx
after wrapping that exposed wire, still throwing that same code. Is there something else i'm suppose to do with an exposed wire besides just wrapping it in electrical tape?
