Previous generation Tauruses (Taurii?)

Recommended Posts

I have to say... respect to the previous generation SHO's... but

Every time I seen an older generation Taurus, I find myself amused. People look at my car and say "THAT is a TAURUS?"

I have the bland styling of the rent-a-car fleet history of the Taurus to thank for that.

Am I the only one that thinks like this?

People are CONSTANTLY commenting on my car & sparking up conversations about how much better it looks compared to the old ones (just the Taurus in general, most people don't even understand the SHO part :RpS_sneaky:) I work at a Napa & the Taurus is debadged so people are always asking what kind of car it is then are surprised when I tell them. In my opinion, it is only a few small details that make certain Taurii stand out tho: the wheels (20" option for '10) & having the whole car clean on a sunny day for the most part. Other Taurii with standard wheels don't stand out nearly as much to me & the metallic paint (mine is Tuxedo Black) really shines in the sun. And the new interior, well, that's a whole nother discussion lol.

The 1st-4th GEN were built here in ATLANTA and ALL OF THE SHO WERE BUILD HERE. I love the looks of the 2nd GEN SHO there a lot of them still here. I like how they looked drifferent from the standard taurus.
