  1. Hit the BIG 6'OH

I agree with SHOdded…….. still a long ways yet to go! Congratz on the milestone! Now be sure to treat her accordingly. Good bath/detail. Change of fluids, etc. and she'll continue running like a top!
  2. World of Wheels - Chicago 2018

Received my paperwork via snail mail the other day.Booth #170 on the main floor.Looks like I am required to roll-in 1 day earlier than I expected/requested. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I'll presume (w/o having a map available yet to confirm) that I will be closer to the center of things, as typically, those who roll-in 1st, have better show floor placement, and the promoters then "build" all the remaining exhibitors/vendors around the outer perimeter and towards the outer rings/circles of the venue.By the way, seems that Saturday will be "THE" day (of the 3) to attend, as all of the remaining custom cars which attend the one day show located on the 2nd floor will be on display. That aspect of the show is known as "Tuner Galleria". The TG show is what I have traditionally attended in the past.Details on that portion can be found here:http://tunergalleria.com/latest-news/2018-tuner-galleria-chicago-car-showHope to see some of you come out and enjoy all the great custom vehicles on display, products offered by the various aftermarket vendors, as well as meeting some of the celebrities slated to attend!
  3. World of Wheels - Chicago 2018

  4. Looks like it is a $104 part (# DA8Z-9910494-A) when ordered from here: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-under-cover-da8z9910494a/?c=Zz1ib2R5JnM9cmFkaWF0b3Itc3VwcG9ydCZpPUtEMDkwMjU1JnI9MTUmYT1saW5jb2xuJm89bWtzJnk9MjAxMSZ0PWVjb2Jvb3N0JmU9My01bC12Ni1nYXM%3D Hopefully that's of some help to you.
  5. Ford Nationals 2018-Carlisle

Just thought to mention that hotels are filling up very quickly. I started my search by typing in the address of the fairgrounds (1000 Bryn Mawr Road, Carlisle, Pa.) and then clicked on hotels. Starting with all the ones closest to the grounds, appears all of them are already booked up. Geezuz. 6 mo.'s in advance and damn, full full full. So expanding my search a little further out, I found Holiday Inn Express located at: 1152 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, 17013. I booked a room there just now. It appeared they only had less than a 1/2 dozen remaining open for the Ford National's. I will be checking in on Thursday May 31st, 2018, and checking out on Sunday June 3rd, 2018. Hopefully any of you who are planning to attend as well, can also book the remaining rooms so as to permit us staying together in a group. Please post up any plans you make respectively so we can coordinate accordingly. TIA! And @ Bam_SHO....... disappointing to read that you will likely not be attending. I know we've discussed the reasons for why not, over the phone since you've posted. But I myself am hoping that you and the wife will be able to make it out if your situation changes. Won't be the same w/o either of you there.
  6. Have a question

Hmmmm...... good question. Completely taking a stab at it..... I would guess in the $6-$8k range perhaps? Assuming that it's a complete motor, with all the related attachments, turbos, etc. Curious. How did you come across such a find? I would maybe try hitting up Livernois Motorsports as they do a lot of work with the engines themselves. They might desire a new one as you're offering. Maybe even try other SHO related communities as well, such as SHOForum.com and/or EcoboostPerformanceForum.com Good luck. If I didn't already have a custom built, long block race motor lurking under my SHO's hood, I'd consider purchasing yours. But this should be a stellar find for those in the market.
  7. Ford Nationals 2018-Carlisle

I'm hoping that as the hotel plans unfold, that we are able to collectively choose a location that is much closer to the fair grounds themselves. Even if that means paying slightly more p/night. Loved the facility from 2017 that Brian Michael so graciously arranged, but the drive into Carlisle seemed a lil longer than desired, due in part to all the other cars also driving into the grounds as well. So let's see if we can all scope out a closer location for 2018.
  8. Because Photobucket changed their policies this past Summer (of 2017) and they no longer allow "3rd Party Hosting" unless each individual account holder ponies up an annual fee of $399. So essentially, anyone who has used Photobucket in the past, including myself, have chosen NOT to pay for this exorbitant, ridiculous, annual fee just to post pictures. Essentially Photobucket is holding everyone's images hostage/for ransom.
  9. 2017 Ford Map/Navi Update(s)....

Ordered the Official Ford Map/Navi update(s) version 10.0x this morning for my 2010 SHO. Lil pricey at $149 but orders placed before 08/31 qualify for free shipping. It's been a few years since I sprung for an update, so I figured I was overdue. Looks like this version 10.0x comes with four discs total, and the updates include: Software Update Maps & Navi Update Gracenote Update So, given all the updates provided, etc. I suppose the price is appropriate. I'll repost with my observations once it's delivered & installed. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. Ford, as well as most aftermarket vendors, will undoubtedly make you purchase the entire assembly as mjhpadi explained. If you/re looking to replace just the glass alone, which is relatively easy to do as the glass is just held in retaining/retention clips, then you'll likely have to go to a junk yard / bone yard.
  11. 3.5 eco boost acceleration problems

There are some trans related TSB's that required reflashes, which might be affecting your stated issues. But as stated above, checking those stored CEL's in the ECM, will provide a sound foundation for what's going on internally. Get 'em checked out and proceed from there. Good luck in your efforts.
  12. South Florida SHO lurker

Great find for sure! Especially at the price point Carmax provided. Door dings can be handled rather well actually, by an expereinced PDR professional. Wheels can be replaced. So minor things in the overall scheme of things. Good start on the mod list, exhaust, particularly a set of downpipes, will further enhance those mods you've listed. BTW, it's Livernois. no "e" on the end. I always laugh when I see that....noise. Ha. Be sure to stay on top of the routine maintenance, paying close attention to the fluids..... Oil, Trans, PTU, RDU, and since you bought it used, be sure to swap out the coolant as well. Doing all of the aformentioned will save you lots of headaches down the road. Welcome aboard, and enjoy your time here! I have relatives in the Kokomo and Peru area(s)...... so Indy isn't all that far from there. Nor is Indy far from Chicagoland area, so perhaps our paths will cross!
  13. Big shout out to my close friend, and photographer, Jeff Liu, owner of HKMediaChicago.com for having taken the time this past Saturday, to meet up for updated photos of my multiple award winning, heavily modified, platform record setting, 2010 Taurus SHO. What a great time, and the weather couldn't of been any better. Jeff and I have not gotten together in just over 1yr. We both had so much stuff going on, that we just kept missing each other. So besides the photos, it was just plain awesome to catch eachother up, with both of our lives, etc. Anyhow, no model(s) available this photo shoot, due in part to our short notice. But no loss, as the car and Jeff's handiwork, still resulted in some phenominal images having been captured. A couple of my favs, then I'll post the link to the dedicated album, so as not to take up to much forum data space. Enjoy! Link to the entire album located here: http://s229.photobucket.com/user/bpd1151/library/2017%20HKMediaChicago%20Pictures Oh yea, and big thanks to BOTH Rich Yaklin & Brian Michael, for BOTH having passed along the fact that my SHO, was featured among other cars, in the Official Recap of the 2017 Ford National's. I counted 45 pics in total that were featured and given the fact there were 3,200+ cars of all makes/model years in attendance, to have been selected to be honored in such a small group of other worthy vehicles speaks volumes about how my SHO must've stood out. Quite elated with that development, and as always, so incredibly happy to continue representing such a great platform, with equally outstanding owners respectfully. Here's the link, scrolling down about 2/3rd's of the way down, will reveal my SHO amongst the others. http://performance.ford.com/enthusiasts/quick-look/2017/06/2017-carlisle-ford-nationals-.html?cks=422144750&emailid=FP_FASTNEWS Hope everyone's enjoying their Summer thus far. Always more in/on the planning books for the SHO. So stay tuned..... ! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. Yea, stupid PB. I am still steamed over their recent policy change(s) that have essentially held all of their account holders pictures hostage, by requiring an annual, recurring $399 bill in order to 3rd party host. I hear there are some in the hacking world, that are trying to develop a work around to this. I'd gladly pay those entities let's say $200 a year if they crack it. But for PB to charge $400, is beyond ludicrous. I also heard recently that some have tried right clicking on each image, and contingent on your internet browser platform, you may have success in viewing them. Not sure myself.
  15. MKS EcoBoost from the PNW (Portland)

A SHO with "lipstick"...... bwahahahaha. Now that's good stuff right there Maynard. Anyhow, to the OP... welcome aboard. Almost bought be a used one this past Summer myself, but the dealer didn't care to budge on the price, so since it was a replacement for the Wife, she chose to pick up a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited, loaded to the hilt, with every available option, including the panoramic sky-view roof. Sharp car. Enjoy yours, and your time around here.
  16. Have you tried trolling around here and seeing if anything fits? http://www.hrsprings.com/products/detail/trak You will likely have to get creative, and/or place an actual phone call to them, as I've found over the years that products listed for other cars, will cross-fit over to the SHO platform. My contact there, who used to work in the R&D Division, has since retired, and no longer works there. So I wouldn't know who to speak with anymore myself. Good luck though, and hope it's of some help to 'ya!
  17. JMS BoostMax

It's a product that has been around for a while. Not really a lot of great reviews previously, and some have said it's also gimmicky. Although I think there was some rumor of one of the tuners out there, having rebranded it and tweaked it a little bit beyond it's original product release. Me personally, I would rather place my hard earned money into an actual tune from one of the platform's reputable, longstanding tuners of the platform, rather than placing this onto my SHO. As stated above, there's A LOT MORE involved in a quality, reliable, long lasting tune, than just simply cranking up the boost. But it's the OP's car, so as long as he's happy, then so be it.
  18. Some of you know about this project of mine, that's been several months in the making. For those of you that don't..... details will be forthcoming in this thread. The SHO's being dropped off this Friday, and the long overdue installation, is finally commencing! As I have grown to say over the years...... STAY TUNED! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  19. Yea, in hindsight, you're very likely VERY RIGHT there Mark! You, and a few others got to witness her 1st hand, so you know how well it sounds, even at loud volume levels. To think that the amps were "only" turned up 1/4th of their power output is crazy. I did have them bump up the power a tad bit shortly after having returned home. That's when I began noticing a gooey, sticky like adhesive pooling up on either corner(s) of that rear tray area just underneath the rear windshield/top of trunk. When I brought this to the shops attention, they were like "yeah, probably should come back in, and let us dial those amps back down a bit". I just couldn't even imagine anything beyond 1/2 potential power output, yet alone 3/4th's even. Geezuz. **smh**
  20. Megan Racing Coil Overs Arrived...... Got them for $819.95 through racing lab.com Holding off on installing until my newly ordered front adjustable end links arrive next week. A few teaser pics out of the box....... My intent on installing these is duofold. I'd like to start road coursing the SHO at some point, however my primary reason is to help offset (or benefit) the new power increases I've made recently and am looking to counteract to much weight shifting to the rear axle on the drag strip. With the new #'s I am running, I'd sure as hell hate to have to much front wheel spin and/or wheel hop. Yikes! Speaking of power #'s...... a little birdie whispered into my ear this morning, that the new video from LMS will be going up in an official thread to be created by them, sometime today.
  21. Been a while since I've updated this thread, however, I found I actually had to de-tune, or turn down the amps. Why, you ask? Well, I started noticing adhesive dripping down into the corners of the rear windshield, where the rain channel is located. Perplexed, I asked the shop about it, and they informed me that that is the adhesive from the rear windshield being mounted into the opening. They continued, advising if you're seeing repeated adhesive gathering in those corners as you're reporting, that's a good indication you're on the verge of blowing your rear windshield out of the frame/mounting area. Egad! Guess I never planned for that to occur! Oopsie daisy!
  22. No worries. Never any harm in inquiring, that's for sure. Why not just store your current SHO, & then repair it when you've replenished your funds? Seems like, given all the various threads you've created recently, that even you are lil perplexed as to how to proceed. I mean honestly, if your motor has been repaired, and/or is solid as of this posting, and all you have left is the turbos, I'd personally press the brakes (& hard at that) & halt all this nonsense of parting your hard earned Benjamins/mods apart to any/all SHO vultures circling around, ready and wound to pounce. Just replace the turbos when funds allow. Seems to be the most reasonable path to travel, given all stated influencing variables that you've communicated thus far. 23. Nope. I traded them in to recoup the mandatory core charge. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  24. FleaBay is incorrect. A '13-'17 motor WILL fit/work in a '10-'12. Mine for instance, at it's core, began as 2014 production block. There are ancillary things that will require some changing, sensors, turbo lines, etc. But it's not terrible by any stretch. Good luck in your efforts. If I were in your shoes, I'd consider, in order of preference, with 1st suggestion being highest: 1.) Built Long Block from LMS 2.) New from FMC 3.) Remanufactured Block 4.) JY / used Block Problem with a JY motor, is you'll have absolutely zero history on it, and as all of us who give 2 poops about our cars know, stringent maintenance is absolutely vital/key to longevity.
