Amazon has the B&M Super Cooler on sale for $55 plus shipping, no tax. Tempting, tempting.

Tap into the output hose from radiator, run cooler in series, customize included mounting brackets, and voila! Anyone look under the front end to see how much room there is to possibly squeeze one in there?

Thoughts on bypassing the radiator completely?

Plenty of room. Both up top above the frame rail, and below.

I think there's about 17" wide, 12" or so high, and depending on above or below, there's anywhere from 2, to 4" in depth available.

I measured it early last week before I started this thread.

I actually think there's more room up top, above the frame rail, rather than below.

Not too mention the fact that the upper grille has more surface area to allow more air in as well.

Also, you will likely end up having to remove the entire front clip. Well at least to mount it correctly. Don't worry though, it really is a piece of cake.

I can practically do it with my eyes closed now, and have that thing off in under 10 minutes. :thumb:

Well, if the secret squirrely person that SHO U UP knows, who is developing a similiar crossover product for us 2010-2012 owners, fabs up a similar design to the 2013 one, then yes, I will probably mount mine below.

However, if it's a "generic" after market one, no matter which company one decides to roll with, then I'll be mounting mine up above.

So six of one, half a dozen of the other...... in either application, the removal of the front bumper will almost certainly be necessary.

Way to step up Mike!

No problem Chris! Like you and your gauge pods, I will ALWAYS go out of my way and step up for the community and fellow EcoBoost owners anywhere that I can :thumb:

Awesome' date=' besides the part no. if you could also take pix of it when you get it. I want to see how it compares to the aftermarket units as far as size. Where did you get it from?[/quote']

I ordered them directly from my dealership. I was in there this morning for an oil change and inquired about it. Actually, I also brought with the exploded parts diagram(s) that fellow member dbulldog posted.

That helped a lot, but the part #'s on those diagrams were apparently the "short #'s".... so cuz the parts guy knows me, he went the extra mile and did some digging for me.

Still out -n- about running around now, had to visit my 91 year old grandmother who went into the hospital again last night, and am sitting at the orthodontist's office now with my middle daughter...

But yes, i'll post up the part #'s, prices, etc when I get a few mintues of time at home later on this evening, and yes, I will also post up pictures when the parts arrive, as well as pre, during, and post install pics when that time comes as well.

Official 2013 Ford Auxiliary Trans Cooler Part #'s and Prices.....

Alright............ thanks goes out once again to fellow EB Forums member dbulldog (Brian) for having obtained AND posted the below .pdf files that are exploded parts diagrams of the comparisons between the 2010-2012 Taurus's "normal" trans cooling systems, VS. the newly redesigned 2013 set up that INCLUDES the addition of an auxiliary trans cooler.

If it had not been for this specific provided info, I would've had a bear of a time trying to find them all on my own.

Anyhow, I re-attached the .pdf files for ease of viewing, see/refer to the attachment at the bottom of this post.

Using the 2013 diagram, coupled with my local dealership's parts manager, I obtained the following "proper" part numbers and prices:

There are actually two different auxiliary cooler's for the 2013 model. The numbers vary depending on which transmission one has....

The 6F50 Trans (all trim levels BELOW the SHO) has this part #: DGIZ 7A095 C @ $151.86.

The 6F55 Trans (all SHO models exclusively) has this part #: DGIZ 7A095 D @ $161.46.

The following part #'s for the inlet / outlet hose and tube assemblies are both the same, regardless which transmission one has..... those are:

The Outlet Tube and Hose Assembly part # DGIZ 7W064 A @ $19.72.

The Inlet Tube and Hose Assembly part # DGIZ 7W063 A @ $16.30.

Due to the fact that the parts are so new (at this point) I was advised that they are / will be coming from the "National" warehouse and will take approximately 4 to 5 business days to arrive at the dealer for pick up.

If any of you care to also place similar orders, the delaership I deal with exclusively is Currie Motors located in Frankfort, IL.

They can be found by visiting here: http://www.fordoffrankfort.com

For you old school guys like me, who are still used to dealing with actual people over the phone, etc. you can call: (815) 469-9700.

Parts Specialist Robert Pagnusat is my contact person there.

Hopefully this will be of some benefit for those of you desiring (like me) to add an auxiliary trans coolers to our pre-2013 model SHO's.

Although I was initially considering a few different after market variations of trans coolers, I personally think that even though the true Ford parts may be a lil pricier than what's out there on the web, etc. I'd like to think that FMC has done quite a bit of research and testing into this item and am willing to flip the extra coin for proper fitting parts, etc.

Well after about 5 days of driving around with the full meth kit and my gauges installed (one of which is a trans temp gauge).....

Mike,

Not sure which LMS tune you are using but how do you compare it with the new tune/meth kit?

See that is my delima. I'm looking at getting both a tranny and engine cooler. I can't see getting a oem tranny cooler and a aftermarket engine cooler. Have you looked into the engine cooler that is apart of the new PP?

Isn't that outlet and inlet tube a 4 piece assy' date=' you've got two listed. The more expensive items 5 and 6 are missing.[/quote']

The PDF does appear to list 4 different parts: Tranny inlet/outlet assembly & auxiliary inlet/outlet assembly.

Also, the pictures & descriptions are a little confusing (to me at least). You would think with the flow indication and hose descriptions, the cooler outlet/input lines would be in reference to the coolers, but instead are in reference to the tranny. Maybe I'm just being too nitpicky about it...

On 2nd glance steve o, it does appear that there are slight differences in the ends of part #'s 5 and 6 in the respective 2013 parts list, although oddly enough, they are spec'd as the exact same part #'s under the '10-'12 diagram.

I'll inspect the parts I ordered when they come in, and cross reference them accordingly.

Good eye btw! Also, I wouldn't necessarily say they are the "more" expensive, after all, the other hose assemblies are each under $20 respectively, so I can't imagine if it was necessary to add those two addt'l items (parts 5 & 6 in the '13 .pdf) to the current order, that it would be all that terribly bad.

The aux cooler itself is the priciest part for inclusive purposes.

I'll keep 'ya posted when the current order comes in :thumb:
