kmrozell
I have a 2011 F150 EcoBoost that has developed a miss when the rpm gets high. For example, when you pass someone on the highway and you hammer it, it may miss once or twice as I go around them. Any ideas?
bpd1151
At the bare minimum, double check your spark plugs. There have been some Eco owners who have previously had issues with the stock plugs. I'm willing to bet that may be the issue, or even perhaps the chaffed wire syndrome (which Ford has still yet to ever officially recognize). Essentially, one pair of wire loom(s) that lead to one of the knock sensors, is a lil short, & the wires would rub on the block, wear off the insualtion (over time) and it would cause power loss. That's all I can immediately think of off hand. Maybe others will chime in with their thoughts, and/or experiences.
swetrid
Ford has tsb for new cac(charge air cooler) for miss and running problems.
mjhpadi
^^That would be my first guess, since it has become a known issue.
Crash712us
Ford has tsb for new cac(charge air cooler) for miss and running problems. I thought TSB only applied to the truck?

Scrming
I thought TSB only applied to the truck? Yes, I believe it is only for the F-150s... which the OP said he had...

TOOLOUD
It may be the catalyst becoming stopped up. Mine misfired a few weeks ago and it threw a code p0430 - my dealer replaced my driver side catalyst and she is running great.
Blou1114
It is more than likely a spark plug issue. Many guys reported spark blowing out under load... Gap your plugs to 30 thousandths (.030)
Bigjht
Could be a coil going bad, had a similar issue on my truck, not Ecoboost, and it was a coil.
