bpd1151
I am aware of one person who created their own, entirely custom (and complete) intake system. Encompassed within the design, was the removal of the factory installed "sound generator". It was a one-off set up, so it's not available for sale (just cut'n that off at the onset).... But there was no detriment to it's removal. Not sure what benefit it may have provided, as that singular piece alone, was a design change incorporated into the overall set up. So in essence, it can be removed if you're curious about doing so. Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk
turbodave
I would imagine that it can be removed without detriment!! After all, it's the exact same motor that's in my MKT, and the MKS, and our engines don't have the "sound generator". The nice thing is, that pipe leading into the throttle body doesn't have any provision for it so it's a nice smooth flowing tube.
