Hey guys!

Long story short:

My wife hit another car on the slippy roads last night and will (like my SHO) need to have the front bumper replaced, lower grill, trans cooler and fog light... Tomorrow or Friday, the appraiser from the insurance company will come to look at the damage... Meanwhile, that got me thinking: Hey, if I can have the car fixed at a Ford dealer and have them buy the Flex from me and I could pick up a used Ecoboost SUV in exchange of some extra $ per month... why not? Actually, I just want to put another Livernois tune in a second car and the Flex doesn't have the EB engine...

So, the options are: Explorer Sport 2013, but that comes to about 1010$ per month on a lease of 48 months a friend told me... so to expensive (I am paying 456$ for the Flex on 6 years to buy it). So, other option is to go used: another Flex or Lincoln MKT (I need three rows)... So, both are not my favorite outside look, but I prefer the inside of the MKT. Very similar to the Flex, but a bit more luxurious and better finish. Actually, the model is so unpopular that they are cheaper than the Flex!

I equipped a 2013 MKT with the similar equipment and the MSRP here in Canada comes to 58K$ plus taxes and delivery charges, comes to 67K$!

I looked on the classified and saw a car dealer offering:

2010 Lincoln MKT Ecoboost Pearl white, AWD, 50K miles, Panoramic roof, 20'' wheels (new summer tires and almost new winter tires on rims), Navi, THX II upgraded sound system, park assist, HID headlights (moving in curves), tinted windows, 1 year of maintenance included, etc. for 24K$.

In exchange, I sold them my 2009 accidented Flex Limited non-Ecoboost (that will be repaired there with insurance), with 74K miles, AWD, fully equipped for 18K$.

In other words, for 6K$ more, I will get Ecoboost, one year less, 24K miles less, 20'' mags instead of 19'', upgraded sound system, park assist, HID's, Lincoln finish, 1 year of maintenance... but I will lose the two dvd's (700$ option).

No brainer, I had to change!

Now for 600$, I will take the Livernois option for a bit more umph! hehehe!

Hi, my name is Steve, I am an addict! (I had the Flex for 8 months...)

Just couldn't refuse that deal!

Pictures coming soon and maybe videos at the track this summer (if my wife allows me!).

Cheers!:horn:

Done deal!

23,5k$ for it and got 16,250$ for the accidented Flex... Funny thing is when I called for the insurances for the MKT, despite the recent two accidents with the SHO and the Flex, the premium got revised lower!

It has among other features the adapted cruise control, vista roof, navi, back up camera, park assist, THX II sound system with 14 speakers (wow!), 20" wheels with new winter and summer tires both 20"s, and I am really starting to dig into its look. Surely fits well in the driveway!

PS I already did a 0-60... Hehehe... 6 seconds flat!!! Omg, the potential is certainly there...the ultimate sleeper (with LMS tune in in a few weeks).
