dmharvey79
I was thinking the same thing, haha. I shouldn't have to worry since I treat it like a toggle switch.

mjhpadi
I shouldn't have to worry since I treat it like a toggle switch. That's a good one...I did it and it did seem to make the throttle feel a bit more responsive.
mval
I agree Mark. A lot of my traveling I don't get up 40, so I did this & it did seem to get a hit out of. So now a weekly program. Sure can't hurt. Thxs for the post. mikev
Jcl78
Just wanted to confirm that this works like a charm, and it is not in my head. I have had the SHO for 2 months now, and had noticed a flat spot in the throttle, first one being right off idle, and another one about 1/3 - 1/2 of the way down. The worst one was the second, because I would be driving around 40MPH, and in order to keep that speed or move to 45MPH, I had to press what I thought was too much of the throttle to maintain speed, and then it would force a downshift. I followed the advice here, just make sure you hold the engine start button (with no foot on the brake) until you see the gauges sweep (as in a tune). Slowly press the gas pedal all the way to the floor, then let it go. I did that procedure twice and started her up. Instantly I felt the improvement, right off idle it was as it should be, and no dead spot in the middle of the range. I forgot that I did it over the weekend, drove to work this morning and it felt really smooth. I said to myself "Oh yeah, the recalibration"
mjhpadi
Like MikeV, I'm planning on doing this again, it's been a few months since I did it the first time...figure it can't hurt.
Timeless
I remember doing this to my E55 AMG but it was described as resetting the adaptive transmission from what it learns of your driving habits from normal nanny cruising around town...not anything to do with throttle body. killaB
I used to do something like this with my Lincoln LS. It reset the transmission. This kinda sounds like the same thing. I'll have to try this out.
mval
Like Mark said I do mine every couple weeks or when I can remember, like I did today after seeing this. It does help & makes it forget all the 30-40mph driving that I do.
chad11400
I am guessing it is
