Jojomofo21
Seeing what I have and having owned a 03 lightning and a 2010 SHO, I would have to give it to the Lightning by a hair the 1/4. It would be a super close race.
TonyTheTiger57
It would be super cool to see too! I am trying to talk my buddy into buying a new EcoBoost F-
Scrming
I would say close race HOWEVER... Would you run the Lightning in 4X4? (do they even come in 4x4?) I would think AWD in the SHO might give it a pretty good advantage at a Test and Tune, where traction is usually mediocre at best...
Livernois Motorsports
I think he's asking about the Lightning was EcoBoost F150. Our EcoBoost F150 went 14.4 in stock form, but it's a Super Crew Long Bed... I'm sure it weighs more than a Lightning. The Lightning should be quicker is stock form. -Rick
TonyTheTiger57
Yeah sorry, the Eco Boost F-150 vs the Lightning. I was just wondering how well the Twin Turbo V6 does against it the Supercharged V8

Jojomofo21
Yeah the lightnings torque will give it the edge early on if it doesn't spin out but the ecoboost turbos will give it the advantage up top. Stock for stock - lightning. Ecoboost with a livernois tune vs stock or even mildly modded lightning - ecoboost all day.

GreenHell
My old '03 Lightning ran 13.6@100 stock and 12.9@105 w/ tune & 4lb pulley on street tires. Haven't had the EB to the track yet to compare.
mjhpadi
Don't know about performance but in the looks department the Lightning wins BIG! The Triton V-8 with the supercharger on top looks cool as all "get out". The Lightning's engine compartment is really sharp!

El Torro
I had an 01 Lightning which was stock...it was quick and I even took the chevy ss silverados when they came out. But I think we are overlooking a tranny issue here. The Lightning was a four speed auto, I dont know what comes in the new F150 Ecoboosts but I'm sure their better today. As far as the Lightning taking a SHO...stock vs stock...no way. The AWD will make sure that doesn't happen. I do miss my truck though and was bumed out when Ford didn't resurect it and instead went with the Raptor.

Roco27
I came from a bone stock 2000 lightning into a 2012 screw ecoboost 4x4. Never ran either on the track but I honestly feel that the lightning would take it from 0-60 0-100 whatever. The pure torque from the lightning was hard to beat!!! steve142857
For what I've seen, stock 2000 Lightning are capable of 5.4-6.2 sec from 0-60 and 1/4 mile in about 14 seconds at 100mph. That would definitely outclass the new F150 EB which is clsoe to a second slower on both. However, just a tune in the EB and you have similar performance with a much better mileage. Welcome to 2012! swetrid
My stock 00 Lightning ran 13.9 stock and 12.90 with very minimal mods. Traction was always an issue though!
Geno51
Fastest EcoBoost stock ran a 14.32@95 mph I have the second fastest Eco stock mine ran a 14.37@96. 0-60 with a boosted launch in 4wd the Eco will smoke a lighting but the lighting will quickly run it down as they trap 100-101 stock. And it will beat it in the 1/4 by half a second. Tuned the margins become close quickly. In the end the Eco vs lighting 1/8th mile about even but the lighting is faster up top. The way the Eco is tuned it runs out of breath up top. But it's a hole shot beast. The livernois Eco is the fastest tune only truck and it only traps in the 102-104 range but its 1/8 miles are in the 7.9s and has 1.7 60fts on stock tires in 4wd. These things are no joke boost launched

I would surely be surprised if a F150 pickup would keep up with me that long... It would take me at least a 1/8 mile before I could pass him... These tuned EB F150 are truly beasts!
