Got5onIt
Didn't like the EB emblem under the "SHO", I guess that's why I tried so hard to cover it up with other wordings. Decided to just cut it off. Ripped off "TAURUS" and nabbed an "AWD" emblem from a new SEL Taurus, then stuck a black EB emblem from a Lincoln MKZ under it. I can dig it, now... I gained 10hp doing this, fyi...

mjhpadi
You did a nice job, I also like the black Ecoboost emblem, but not enough to change mine, I'm really happy with my redesign, that was "BPD Inspired"!:yo:

SoCalSHO
So, did you remove the SHO emblem and then cut off the ecoboost? If so, what tape did you use to put it back on? Thinking of doing it this weekend.
SoCalSHO
And where did u get the black emblem. Thanks
tss
He said he got it off an MKZ, but I think he meant MKS. I have that Ecoboost emblem on my MKS. The MKT has them as well. Not the MKZ though as far as I know. I have also seen the black ecoboost emblem, new on ebay, for about 30 bucks.
Got5onIt
Sorry about that, I meant MKS. I ordered thd black EcoBoost plate online from a Ford dealer. The EB emblem separated fairly easy from the SHO part. I used an exacto knife to trim the bottom of the letters. Sanded them with 400 grit to smooth. At that point, the chrome was gone in spots, so I cleaned them off with rubbing alcohol, taped the rest of the letter off leaving just the black parts exposed, touched it up with chrome paint. I ended up using the S from the Taurus emblem since it was the same.

tss
I paid $23 for the EB plate. In a shocking turn of events, buying from the dealer is the least expensive way to go! LOL.
