Don't forget about the 2012 Ford Nationals in Carlise, PA

Recommended Posts

Wow, I did forget about them being this week-end! And it is a beautiful day to attend, temperature is about 72, and not too sunny, just enough with some occasional clouds drifting by! And my friends: Adam's Polishes are supposed to be there for this event, this week-end.

A few of us at Carlisle today. Mine is the silver one towards at the end.

The weather was great. Several SHOs from all generations there.

It was great fun!

Was that a Kona Blue or Black car 2 cars to your right. The blue will look black in the right light and are the 2nd rares color for 2011 only. I've never seen not one SHO and only a very few stock Kona Blue Taurus here in Atlanta. Post next years dates and times the old lady loves road trips. Looks like a great time.

That would be great, and we could arrange a get together, I would be glad to attend, it's only like 90 minutes from me!

Yes, I spoke to the owner of the blue Taurus and it was a 2011 model. His is the only blue I've seen.

All:

I was lucky enough to be voted "first place" in the SHO stock category on Saturday. I have to say that I can't help but think that Ken's hood strips, the tips I've seen on this forum, and the Ford Custom Graphics helped in this regard. It was great show and thanks to those of you who might have been there and voted for me. Next year, it would be great if more fourth generation SHOs were there. There was good representation of SHOs from all the generations, but we were outnumbered by the mustangs and focuses. I will make sure the word gets out the forum next May.

On another note, I spread the word about the forum to the other fourth generation owners who were unaware of the site. Hopefully, some of them will check it out.

Paul

If there's one thing I always took away from the Ford Nationals, it's always that Mustangs over-run the show. They get the whole main showfield, and the other Ford "step-children" get stuck on the hill. It's a bit much how much they devote to the Mustang.
