Scrming
Agree, pretty nice price! Fine print says there is a $750 core charge though... ???
EcoBrick Bob
This is your big opportunity John, Install it behind the drivers seat to power rears, and you will get into the 10's!
mjhpadi
Yes, and keep a spare and send one to Rick and one to Torrie and let each of them do their magic to the engine!:eyebrows:
Crash712us
Them have been on eBay for quite some time now. Way over priced if you ask me seeings how there isn't much demand for them. I remember years ago I bid on a DTS that needed a motor was very surprised how cheap a low mile northstar engine was at the junk yard. Was like $750 and I asked my buddy who owns the yard why so cheap, he said there isn't any demand for them.
Bigjht
It's hard to tell but it looks like 5w20 on the oil filler cap on one of the pictures, not that that's a bad thing, but that would potentially help to date them.
SpoolinX2
High price is probably encouraged by the fact that it's still fairly "new" technology. The last engine I bought was the 3.0 DOHC for my Contour SVT...paid $400 for it through Greenleaf.
EcoBrick Bob
50 hours on a dyno can mean a great deal of wear. Look at what Ford did with that F-150 EB Test Engine. Until the engine is torn down or installed in a vehicle, one would have no way of knowing it's condition.
Imminent Rueage
Am I the only one that want's to throw one of these in an AWD Fusion Sport???
Paulford8
It is only a matter of time before people start figuring out how to swap these into older cars. I paid more than that for my Coyote and I think almost daily about how I like the Ecoboost better, not saying the Coyote isnt awesome cause it is... Just like my Ecoboost. timbo
Hmm...might skip doing a 2.3 D-tech in my Merkur XR4Ti and just put in one of these... Transmission would be the problem. That price is very good btw.
