interceptor
I'm looking at a new '13. The car will see quite a bit of highway miles. If both cars are driven the same, under the same conditions, what is a reasonable difference between a PP car and the non PP car? 1 mpg highway? 2 mpg highway? Leadfoot
Ford states that there is no difference, but earlier posts show that there is a 1-2 MPG difference between the two. Of course everyone drives differently. You would think that the 3.16 vs 2.77 gear ratio and the higher rolling resistance of the summer tires would give you slightly less MPG. racerx78
On long HWY trips i could get 28MPG with my my Non PP '10 and 25MPG with my PP '13.
Mac98SHO
I have gotten best 27mpg and avg 23-26mpg depending on conditions and me. Winter I avg 21-24mpg Worst 5 mpg Sent from my RM-824_nam_att_101 using Board Express
interceptor
That's about what I figured. ACC sure sounds nice on long trips as well. Thanks guys.
Leadfoot
That's about what I figured. ACC sure sounds nice on long trips as well. It is nice, just set the speed and steer. it'll even modulate the brakes if gap closes too quickly.
goblues38
my 2013 with power pack....setting the cruise in 6th gear and keeping a sustained 78mph nets me 24.5 mpg. (stock) but if i play with the throttle any at all, it falls off to below 23 in a hurry.
83racecrew
I just did my first relatively long trip in the car. I have a '13 w/PP and averaged 23.3 for the 2 hour ride. I spent 2 days in the city and then drove back. Overall for the 377 mile weekend I averaged 21.6.
sweetair
I'm looking to log in about 540 miles round trip to NY and back this weekend. Curious to see where my '13 PP SHO stands mileage wise.
The Bone
I am not a fan of ACC as I thought I would be. If the road has lots of curves it seems to pick up the cars in the lane next to me and sometimes apples the brakes. Not good in the fast lane. So I find myself just turning it off. It does what its supposed to do for the most part but in corners it will surprise you and apply the brakes especially when the other car is a big rig.
