jerry in pitt pa
Hi, Did my first oil change yesterday at 2,800 miles, the old oil was black as coal! Used Mobil One 5-30 & fl910s. While I was under the car tried to find fill plugs. I'm a old ford V8 guy so this FWD takes some geting use to. Is there a trans axle 90 weight gear oil fill plug? Every new Ford I've bought needs the fluids topped off. The next thing is to lube the ball joints & tie rod ends. Most say there not grease-able. yes they are, Buy a grease needle with a zerk ball fiting about $5. Stick it in the balljoint & tierod boot and pump it full of moly grease, can cause premature failure if not lubed. The lower ball joints have the whole weight of the car on them, they need luded. My new F150 balljoints were full of air. Any body have a 2013 taurus service manual? Thanks, Jerry
