Livernois Motorsports EcoBoost Cylinder Head Development

Recommended Posts

Livernois Motorsports is currently working on a port for the EcoBoost cylinder head.

Here are a few photos of the stock head

Stock flow numbers at 28" on our SuperFlow 1020 bench at .500 lift are 184.5 cfm on the intake and 151.7 cfm on the exhaust

Once the port is finished and tested on a vehicle, we will digitize the port and CNC on one of our in-house 5-axis machines.

Thank you,

Rick

Rick, this may be a stupid question because I don't know much about this; but does the exhaust flow rate limit the overall gains? In other words, where the intake CFM is 295 but the exhaust is 189 CFM, does that limit the overall flow to 189 CFM?

Any update on this, livernois? Strapped these bad boys to a car and dynoed it? I'm thinking you're not going to gain a ton with the stock turbos, and maybe ruin the secret sauce that makes these motors so lag free. With bigger turbos, you can probably gain a TON of power, but then you're back to feeling like every other turbo motor with a bunch of lag.
