EcoBrick Bob
Or... chose the 18" x 9" 32 Offset version that weighs 18.3 lbs! The Nitto 05R's weigh around 30 lbs in the 285-40-18 size. They are 27" tall which is the exact same height as my Conti DW's in 255-45-18, which weighed 25 lbs new, but I have BURNED off around 3 lbs! Stock 20's and 255-45-20 RS-A's weigh around 62 lbs. BIG UNSPRUNG WEIGHT SAVINGS.. Better handling and MUCH BETTER STOPPING.

EcoBrick Bob
Darreli, don't you have the 20" x 8.5" Interlagos that are 40 offset? They weigh 22.3 lbs. Combined with your DW's (245-40-20" =26 lbs) you were at 48 lbs when tires were new... If you run them enough.... you will lose 3 lbs a tire like I have!!!!! chad1140
So what do factory rims themselves weigh in at?
EcoBrick Bob
31-32 lbs. This is about average weight for 20" wheels. Tires weigh about the same. Some 22" wheels at TireRack actually weigh up to 50 lbs, plus the tires. That's why one can decrease stopping distances, increase real torque at the wheels, and vastly improve handling with lighter wheels & tires.
