steve142857
Hey guys! Again with the freaking numbers... lol. You can see in the lounge section on the top that I put a few links related to cars. Among them is a 0-60 calculator based on 1/4 mile slips. I used it many times and verified its accuracy and I find it quite impressive. You enter your 60 feet, 330 feet and 1/8 mile time and you can verify with the trap speed of your 1/8 mile. For example, there was a member here that ran a 14.01 with only K&N filter, the rest stock and it gave a 5.4 sec. 0-60... My best run gives a 3.60... I would like people to post here their time slips (for their ecoboost or other rides) and I propose to use the same calculator to see the 0-60 of different cars and validate. Thanks! steve142857: 60': 1.819; 330: 5.04; 1/8: 7.78 at 89.81 mph = 0-60mph in 3.60 sec. FirstSHO: 60': 1.818; 330: 5.088; 1/8: 7.80 at 88.98 mph = 0-60mph in 3.72 sec. Crash712: 60': 1.817; 330: 5.11; 1/8: 7.89 at 87.00 mph = 0-60mph in 3.79 sec. PaulFord08: 60': 1.906; 330: 5.241; 1/8: 8.03 at 88.17 mph = 0-60 mph in 3.95 sec. shoman04: 60': 1.819; 330: 5.237; 1/8: 8.106 at 85.75 mph = 0-60 mph in 4.08 sec. Rick LMS F150:60': 1.780; 330: 5.21; 1/8: 8.15 at 83.45 mph = 0-60mph in 4.09 sec. NotEnufPSI: 60': 1.887; 330: 5.32; 1/8: 8.22 at 85.20 mph = 0-60 mph in 4.20 sec. Night Hawk: 60': 1.941; 330: 5.42; 1/8: 8.34 at 84.23 mph = 0-60 mph in 4.37 sec. mhenne4: 60': 1.866; 330: 5.48; 1/8: 8.47 at 82.56 mph = 0-60mph in 4.65 sec. So far, here are a few stats of performant AWD cars to validate and compare (Car And Drivers's stats): 2013 Audi S6: 0-60 in 3.7 sec.; 1/4 mile in 12.1 at 115mph (which falls almost exactly with FirstSHO and myself's numbers) 2013 Panamera Turbo S: 0-60 (1 ft rollout) 3.5 sec.; 1/4 mile in 11.9 sec. at 117 mph 2013 Panamera GTS: 0-60 (1 ft rollout) 3.9 sec.; 1/4 mile in 12.5 sec. at 108 mph 2012 CLS550 4matic: 0-60 in 4.7 sec.; 1/4 mile in 13.3 sec. bigPelo
Steve, that was my best with my STi.
steve142857
Steve, that was my best with my STi. Those STI are sure very fast for launching, but the second portion of the 1/8 mile is slower... It gives a 0-60 mph in 4.25 sec.
Mothball
You found one! Good job Steve. I knew if anyone had something like this it'd be you.
bigPelo
Thanks Steve! Yes the Suby has a lot of traction but the super short gear ratio increases power lost: passing the 1/8 in end of 3rd and 1/4 mid-high 5th.

Yes the Suby has a lot of traction but the super short gear ratio increases power lost: passing the 1/8 in end of 3rd and 1/4 mid-high 5th. And all that shifting increases the chances of missing one... When my SHO was still stock I remember that I could put it on third gear manually to finish the 1/4 mile at around 103mph... Now at 115 mph+ it really needs to shift into 4th to finish the distance (I have non-pp).

Well I had the "flat foot shifting" ecutek tune so I could shift fast enough the blow-off valve didn't even open in-between shift :biggrin1:
