SteelBlue402A
Hey folks my sunshade stopped about 5 or 6 inches from the stowed position. Really annoying it wont go up or down and I cant hear the motor. Anyone have this issue? I hear it is pretty common, mine is a 2010.Anyone know where the motor is located?:frown:
casperl878
hello, i have a 2010 and this problem sounds pretty similar with what i had, i was over the original warranty but did have the extended ford warranty, so either way or miles you have as long as you have the esp or original warranty it will be covered, good luck anthony
bpd1151
Although I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a "common" issue, there have been a few members who have experienced failure of the rear sunshade. Specficially, a tooth on the worm gear broke, and in most cases, it would either "skip" or go up & down in a rough manner. If it was left unchecked, it could ultimately burn up the motor. I think I heard someone say that it was supposedly an $800 repair through a Dealer, but that same member was able to repair themselves for less than like $75. Not sure where the motor is located. But I could do some digging around and attempt to find it and report back. That is, if no one else has chimed in, in the interim :noidea: Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk
