lsdozer
As I was surfing for options on blacking out the retarded fake fender vents, I ran across Duplicolor Shadow paint for chrome. Anyone use it? I figure this would be cool to use on the chrome trim everywhere, as well as my chrome 20's Here are crappy pics. I sprayed it with four coats of color, and four or five coats of clear. I think I went too dark, but it still looks good. bpd1151
Haven't used it, but looks decent. My side vents are already custom painted and hand lettered, so I wouldn't use it there..... Perhaps on the chrome trim around the windows? I can see it there. ***This post sent from my DROID3 using the 'Tapatalk' App***
lsdozer
I just bought a spare set of fender vents so I can experiment with coating them. bought some plasti-dip and might spray them real quick, but I like this idea better. Still some bling, but much more subdued. Will post updates if I do the shadow.
Got5onIt
The 2013 SHO has the SHO engraved into the fender vents instead of Taurus. Maybe wait for those and switch them out when they come available?
lsdozer
Well, I bought some shadow paint, and am in the process of painting the fender vents now. So far I like the looks, and I still haven't painted on the clear coats. I will take pics when I am done.
lsdozer
some pics added uptop, but they are sorta crappy, along with overcast weather. Basically this paint allows no prep and no sanding, except degreasing. nice...
