slideoil
I pulled the engine cover today for the first time just poking around in the engine bay. I noticed a light brown / milky white coating on the inside of the oil fill cap. I was always told this is a sign of water in the oil. This is in a 1600 mile, fresh off the lot 2013. Should I be concerned, or should I just clean it up and move on? Thanks in advance.
12sho
Do you do a lot of short trips?
mjhpadi
Keep an eye on the dipstick, but I would think this is more from condensation then from a problem.
slideoil
Well, about half are short trips. It's only 1 mile to work, but I have to go 10 miles out of the way in the morning to drop off the kids, so 20 miles in the morning to get to work... and 1 mile in the afternoon to get home. I will definitely keep an eye on the dipstick. Thanks for the advice.
