jerry in pitt pa
Hi, The late model Ford I4 engines use a 6F35 transmission, including my 2013 2.0L ecoboost taurus. There's pleanty of negative news out there on this model, anybody have first hand failures? Mine is OK, just turned 3000 miles. Thanks, Jerry
SHOdded
Do not own a vehicle with a 6F35 in it. I believe this transmission is the same one used in Ford Escapes, so you may have better luck looking for info there. For example, I saw a TSB on transmission "hoot" just recently when looking for other info. From what I gather, problems have been more to do with customer experience on how Ford chooses to "handle" them. People put up with a lot, if they are treated nicely. There's plenty of negative news out there on this model, anybody have first hand failures? Are you sure your not confusing it with the Powershift transmission that's found in the Fiesta or 2012+ Focus? 6F transmission has been pretty good since its introduction and most of the bugs have been squashed since 2010 or so.
