jlinden7
I am having trouble with my 2010 SHO's dual climate zone control. The passenger side will only blow out hot air. I have replaced the Blend Door Actuator and the issue still exists. What troubleshooting steps should I take next to find a resolution? Thanks for the help! SoCalSHO
I take it you have no warranty left? I had the same problem for a while, took off and reinstalled the blend door actuator, that seems to have fixed it for me. do you even hear any noises when you switch the temp between the sides or change it to defrost? jlinden7
No warranty, drive way too much - 75k miles. I have not heard the clicking noise since I changed the BDA this morning but it is not cooling at all.
mjhpadi
Are you sure you replaced the correct door actuator, I believe there is at least 2 of them in our cars, and I think that someone posted there is 4 of them.
jlinden7
I replaced the one immediately behind the glove box, which I had read is the one that controlled the temperature.
Night Hawk
What mj said, replace the black actuator located to the left of the easy to get to white one behind the glove box, I did this myself recently with the same problem and it solved it. Its a pita just a heads up...
jlinden7
Thanks! Do you have the part number for that one? I appreciate the help!
Night Hawk
Not sure but I recommend taking off the old one and bringing it physically to the parts counter to avoid the parts counter doofus worker lol...
jlinden7
Don't have a Haynes or Chilton. I'm having a hard time seeing the other BDA. Attached is a picture and I assume the yellow arrow I drew is it (red arrow is the white BDA) but wanted to check before I took the other stuff apart that is required to get to it. jlinden7
You weren't kidding it is difficult to remove. I removed the screws without issues but after a hour last night I couldn't get the stupid BDA out because of the wiring harness in front of it. Will try again tonight. Thanks for the help! Night Hawk
Anytime! No worries, if its any relief I brought my failed one to Tasca's parts counter after spending quite a bit of time removing it. I told them dont ask me how I got it out, but any tips on getting this back in without destroying it? It was a funny moment.
