02lightning2445
Anyone here take apart the factory headlight housing and reseal it? It seems that all the write ups i see on how to do it,always use a standard halogen housing that doesn't use projectors.(or takes a standard housing apart to upgrade to a projector housing). I know they say to heat the oven up to 200-225F,after up to temp, put the headlight in and then turn the oven off,let it bake for 10mins. Repeat as necessary. However,do i have to remove all the components from the inside/outside of the housing? H.i.d bulb, ballasts, projector etc etc? Like i said, every write up seems to use a standard housing with no bulbs or anything in it so its just the housing going in the oven. Thanks for any assistance! bpd1151
Although not on this platform, but previous experiences with other project cars also employing HID, I'd suggest removing as much as you can, so that the assembly itself, is all that's going into the oven.
