bobback
Yep, these 20" wheels reallly throw the sh*t on the side of the car in winter. Would the molded or, for lack of a better term; non-molded look better? Let's, uhhh...see some pics of your mud flap. lol
TractorAK
I have the molded but they don't offer much protection. Car is still in the shop but may get it back this week. I wish rally armor made them for the SHO. I have them on the WRX and not much gets past them. I would actually like the straight Ford ones but with SHO instead. SpoolinX2
/\ First thing that came to my mind. Rally Armor. I'd imaginge they're somewhat universal if someone wanted to try them.
TractorAK
Yeah I was thinking about seeing if I could get ones without holes nod use mine as a pattern for the holes. Ralley armor flaps are mean looking. Not a good rear shot still looking.
bobback
TractorAK...You mentioned that the the molded don't offer much protection, which is what I'm wondering if any mud flap would. I see the Rally Armor universal ones are about 12" wide, thus wondering if maybe a wider flap would work better. As if they don't offer much protection, don't want to put them on my car. When you get your car back from the shop would you mind letting me know the width of your molded? I called the local Ford dealer and they told me that they don't have the width, and don't know how to get it. What a lazy pile of sh*t! I about asked him if I gave him a million dollars I bet he could figure it out. Nor is the width shown on Ford's site.
TractorAK
My body shop texted me today and told me that ford contacted them and my harness has shipped so hopefully I will have my car by this weekend. Hopefully.... If I remember it was less than an inch out and about an inch and a half down. Rather disappointed. I will post pics and actual measurements as soon as possible. Here is a shot of my Wrx sorry dirty.
TractorAK
Ok finally 2 mo later got my car back for the 3rd time. Here is a pic of the rear flap. And the decal I had put on right before it went to the shop. I picked flat black because I didn't want it to tand out as much as white or silver. TractorAK
Front about 3/4" out 1" long back about an inch out by 2 1/4 at its longest where the panel curves in. Not much coverage at all. Especially for a hundred bones.
mjhpadi
I like the decal on your hood, it looks good in flat black on your car. I see what you mean about not much protection by the molded flaps. They look good but would offer better protection if they were a bit longer. I'm just glad that I don't have to take my car out in nasty weather...it's one of the advantages of being retired! Although I did get caught in the rain today when I picked up my son at college. bobback
Thanks for posting those pics...yep, I can see why the Ford flaps don't work well, which was my concern. Like the SHO decal! Will have to look around, may try out the Rally Armors unviersal flaps. Odds are whatever I get will have to do some customization on the rears, as the wheel well has quite the "divit."
TractorAK
I believe I am going to look into rally armor also. I might swing by my Subaru dealership and see if they have ones without holes.

racerx78
I was worried about that area so i just had that area behind the front and rear wheel covered in invisible bra. I wanted to protect the area without messing with the look of the car. I'd post pictures but they be somewhat pointless since you can't see the bra. TractorAK
Here is the before After shots They were supposed to go onto a legacy. I kept the old molded ones on for added support to the rally armors. Let me know what you guys think.
bobback
Looks good! Did you have to do any cutting on the back flaps? As my rear wheel wells, where the flaps would mount, are not flat.
TractorAK
About an inch square of material. Not much at all. They were 125$ for the set of 4.
TractorAK
Some closer pics of the rear per request. I cut a slit for the plastic molding to go through. And washed her

TractorAK
Yeah I wanted to leave some material on the other side sticking up to help hold that side of the flap rigid.

bobback
So...is it worth paying $75 more for the urethane? http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/rally-mud-flaps-universal-c-60_116.html
TractorAK
On my WRX I have the hard plastic non urethane ones and they have picked up a little warp over the years. The ones I put on my car are the urethane. Non urethane don't flex where the urethane of course are very flexible. I prefer the urethane but that's my own preference.
