Installed Silver SHO Caliper Covers and Rear Roof Spoiler on 2010 SHO

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I just wanted to share that I installed silver caliper covers and a rear roof spoiler on my 2010. I thought they turned out pretty good. Both enhancements added another level of sport to the look of the vehicle. Bellow are the links to order the products if anyone is interested:

Also, if you order the rear spoiler, you need to paint it. I bought my silver ignot at http://www.automotivetouchup.com/.

Enjoy.

Paul

Like the covers and the Mustang-style SHO striping on side skirts. :RpS_thumbsup:

Haven't seen a roof spoiler before on a sedan, so curious, how you arrived at that decision. It does make the car look very different 4 sure. Kinda reminds me of an Audi TT or even a 30's Ford with the smaller rear windows. Very interesting.

Looks sharp :thumb:

I've been the only one (that i'm aware of) that's rocked that rear roof spoiler now for like nearly a year and a half now.

I believe Carid discontinued them for a period there due to poor sales.

I tried informing them on more than one occasion that they should be marketing them under BOTH the Ford Taurus & Lincoln MKS umbrella's as they were only sold under the Lincoln availability of products (as the link here currently shows).

It does add that necessary flair to the rear of the SHO & I get compliments on it quite often.

I remember my painter complaining it took a lot of sanding and prep work to get it right, so hopefully if they have begun selling these again, that they changed suppliers, or demanded a better product.

Once again, looks sharp!

The roof spoiler was a mod I was planning on adding, but never got around to it before it was discontinued. Also there are a bunch of different vinyls available for the SHO: http://fordcustomgraphics.com/taurus.php but they are not inexpensive. I have considered them several times but could never make a decision on which one I thought would look best for my car, so I ended up getting none...:RpS_unsure:

Thanks for the compliment. Here is the link to the Ford Custom Graphics site: http://www.fordcustomgraphics.com/choose.php?carType=taurus

I bought the decals directly from the site, then had my own installer put them on for about $35.00. The dealership wasn't interested in installing them because they burned in the past when the installers messed up. Since I went an authorized 3M installer, they guarentee the work. If you call and order them, ask Customgraphics to send them directly to you, then go with their recommended installer vs. the dealer.

Looks good. Contemplating doing that myself. Where did you get the SHO vinyl that rung along the bottom of the car?
