EcoBrick Bob
Shortly after purchasing my 2010 Flex EB LTD, I purchased a 3D Carbon Rear Spoiler. Unfortunately, the EBAY supplier that I chose, did a mediocre job in painting it. From others who installed the same spoilers, I would recommend buying one from CARID, in the color of your top. Everyone who has purchased from CARID seems to have had a good experience with the painting quality. The current cost at Carid is under $350. including painting to your color choice. Here is a pix of my 3D Carbon spoiler. Another couple pix... I went the extra MILE in installing the spoiler... I drilled and screwed it to the hatch, besides using and clamping it in place with the 3M tape that is included with the spoiler. These are short stainless screws (1/2"), that are inserted thru the tailgate sheetmetal, thru silicone caulk - into the fiberglass 3D spoiler. With my other mods, including the H & R lowering springs (not shown here), my Flex becomes a Sport Wagon...ala... Volvo...
bpd1151
Love this mod EBB :thumb: Should probably throw some touch up paint on them there screws so they don't continue rusting pal
EcoBrick Bob
The screws are stainless. That color you see is the silicone caulk. Looks different in person.... NO RUST in 22mo.
mjhpadi
Ahh, since you pointed it out, you can tell that it isn't rust but that it is a caulk. Sure did look like rust on first look.
