Paulford8
They went through several versions of Stage 4. The latest and greatest is probably the Stage 4 + 9/23/11. I dont believe they change anything for exhaust, or cold air. They have to make changes for 170 stat, methanol, downpipes, and upgraded turbos. Congrats on getting the tune! These things really wake up after some tuning....
Crash712us
The modified fans file turns on fans earlier for guy that run the 170 degree thermostat.

Paulford8
Not sure why you didnt get 2. Maybe because nobody is running it. In the beginning Stage 4 was the all out use at your own risk tune. Well now guys have been running it for a while with no engine failures. Just could be you didnt get it because nobody is interested in 2 anymore. They have the stages through 4+ for 91 and 93. There are others on here running Stage 4+ for 91 because they cant find 93 in their area.
Livernois Motorsports
Tom, As I mentioned when we spoke on the phone, I'm not sure where the CD came from. I was out of the office when the guys shipped your tuner. I did get your email last night that you received the stage 2, 3, & 4+ files. Have fun and enjoy the new found power! -Rick

mjhpadi
Looks good, now get a pre-filter for the Airaid...it will keep your filter much cleaner and extend the intervals between cleanings.
fueld13
There are others on here running Stage 4+ for 91 because they cant find 93 in their area. I would love to hear some thoughts from anyone running 4+ on 91! 91 is all I can get here in high altitude Utah.
Crash712us
I would highly advise against, spark knock in forced induction motors is often fatal. I would look into making your own octane booster. Some of my best times is when I had some toluene in my tank. Meth injection is another avenue. But I would stick what the pros recommend. EcoBoostSHO
^^^ Agreed. I've seen a little bit of knock on my car with 93 and Stage 4+...I wouldn't risk it with 91.
Imminent Rueage
Yeah, I have decided against running Stage 4 with 91 Octane...and sadly that's all I can get in my area. I looked quite a bit into home-brewed octane booster, but in the end it was going to add a fair amount of cost and be a lot of hassle when i fill up multiple times a week. If I ever autocross or go to the drag strip or anything like that though I would for sure mix something up for Stage 4 though. I asked a while back about using meth injection as a replacement for higher octane fuel and i never got a really straight answer but it didn't sound like it would be too much of an issue if set up properly. Crash712us
I would visit alkycontrols web site lots of info there. But its my understanding that is one of the benefits of meth injections, no need for high octane fuel. Also email Julio great guy he would be able to answer these questions.
