lsdozer
How do you remove the "spear" on the trunk (the chrome trim that runs across the trunk)? I have found some pics from NESHO that sorta show the back of the trim, but I cant tell if it simply pops off or if I have to remove some bolts first. Crash712us
You have take off the inner lining of the trunk I think. The dealer did any how when they replaced the tail lights. I know it clips along the thin section and there is 2sided tape in the center.
classiccars
The spear has seven "Clips". Start at one end of the spear. Push a little on the clip outward. (Pressure fit) Work each of the clips a little at a time. The two way tape is just foam with NO sticky stuff. lsdozer
Thanks for the fast replies! See, I would have been tempted to start prying on it first, or trying to depress the clips from the outside, sorta like the fender trim. I am so glad that you referred me to this site BPD1151:RpS_biggrin:
bpd1151
Thanks for the fast replies! I am so glad that you referred me to this site BPD1151 :RpS_biggrin: I'm glad you made it. All I can ask is that you do w/e it is on your own to refer others to this site as well. There truly are a bunch of great members located here and ALL of us love our late model SHO's and collectively we each help each other out (as you can see) when it comes to needing tech support, maintenance stuff, modding help, etc. So again, the biggest thanks you can do is to refer others here as well. Continued success on your SHO mods lsdozer :thumb:
