Rockgt302
When I start my car, my sub flutters ( for the lack of a better word). It's like some signal is being sent through. Any ideas?
Kolk1
Factory sub, or aftermarket setup?
mjhpadi
Do you have the sound system set in Surround Mode or Stereo?
Rockgt302
Aftermarket sub, set to stereo
SHOdded
Sounds like the amp's output and the sub's frequency range may be mismatched, or you need a better crossover?
Kolk1
Sub pop on turn on, try a couple different options. Bad Ground on the amp is normally the cause of this. Make sure you have the ground bolted to a bare/unpainted piece of metal. If you disconnect the RCA's to amp, does it still happen? Are you using a LOC? Or a high level input on the amp? Also, if you have some resistors laying around, trying adding some resistance to the Remote turn on wire, to slightly lower the voltage during turn on. Rockgt302
I'm using a ReQ as a line level converter.
Kolk1
ok, well try turning it on with the RCAs unplugged, to make sure its not from the ReQ as well.
