New LED DRL's

I had installed some inexpensive LED strip lights as DRL's last year and they have not aged well, they were no longer transparent and were beginning to come apart. So I decided to replace them with Ozium Gen 2 side emitting strips. Here's the photo of the original installation:

 

Here's a picture that shows the old and new strip lights. You can see how bad the old ones look in the photo:

 

Here's the new ones installed. I changed location and I think they offer improved visibility for two reasons, first the clarity of the new strips, plus I believe they are brighter and since I changed the parking light/turn signal to switchback LED's they really overpowered the old strips. With the new location I believe that eliminates that problem.

Nice. Was it difficult to remove the assemblies for the install? B.

I didn't remove the headlights, because that almost requires removing the front bumper. I was just careful to make sure the strips were placed in the proper location before removing the backing paper for the adhesive.

Did you wire these to the fuse for the headlight? How much/where did you end up getting these ones? Looks great!

No used an add-a-fuae and used a circuit in the under hood fuse box...can't remember what number without looking... check my thread on installation. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
