steve o Posted March 19, 2012 Report Share Posted March 19, 2012 They need better speech recognition in all the models up to 2013, I don't know how that Sync is working but I'm willing to guess poorly. Sync in my 2010 Edge and 2012 Taurus has difficulty understanding language, it's fustrating. Hell maybe Micorsoft should take a lesson from Apple with Siri, now that girl understands. Makes you wonder how long they keep a secrete before it hits the market. As for MY Ford Touch I think 12 was the first year in the Taurus. I also think Sync is a pain in the butt. It asks you to many questions. They could have made it so simple. set temp 72 Sirius the highway. Cancel trip not cancel route What were they thinking? It was available in the Edge, Explorer, Focus and Lincoln MKX. This system was just introduced to the Taurus and Fusion for 2013 and it will come with the updated software. Geezuz.... with low grade 87 gas hit'n almost $4.60 a gallon in the Chicagoland area, I would hope that FMC is including some type of gas card / rebate to offset the fuel costs associated with performing this upgrade. Just sayin'. Only other choice I can see is to just have the key to the ON position with the ign. live but no motor in which case it'll deplete the battery to the point it should be recharged. The guide did say "Could Last" up to an hour which doesn't mean it will be that much but could be. Seems by checking my VIN he could tell that my '10 was not included in the upgrade. I've got NAV and My Touch but my version must be too old.
