goblues38
After 5 weeks...the turn signal is still way too stiff. TO get it to "click", you can't just use your index finger, you almost have to use your enitre arm and hand. I know it is not "that" bad, but this is the only thing that bothers me about the car right now.
Crash712us
Something must binding up. What year is it? I know on 2011 explorer I test drove the turn signal doesn't even click, you just move up or down. Do detent or anything, threw me for a loop at first I was holding up or down. But I guess it's the new way.

goblues38
Time to hit the gym? Ha. No, I don't need to work out.... Ok I do, but not to use the blinker.
Bigjht
I completely agree. I also find myself flashing people sometimes when turning the blinker on while getting past the "click".
Jojomofo21
I hate how loud the blinker blinks inside the car. Sent from my iPhone while I should be working.
Smokeio
I agree. It's the ONE thing I don't like about the car. The feel of the turn signal is wrong.
bigPelo
2013 also and I agree the turn signal is stiff. My sister test drive my car last Friday and she never past the click, always the 3 blinks and then stop. I think she was afraid to break something. racerx78
The newer models have the feature where you can get the blinker to stay in on for one direction. All you get is 3-4 blinks and that is it. On my '13 Sho and on a '12 edge i've noticed this. I personally hate it.
Mac98SHO
Yea, it seems pretty hard to activate. Where as the 2011 Edge we own with similar style switch is easier to activate(when swtich between vehicle i find my self wondering if i will break it lol). I have to wonder if ford was going for more of feel, since the Edge really has no noticable click..... maybe they need a redesign it again..lol
goblues38
previous fors I have owned (mustangs, t-birds, expedition) or driven (navigator, f250) all have the "old" style stalkk where it was real easy to use. I guess I was expecting that.
HokieSHO
I just picked my SHO up Saturday and have been noticing this issue as well. It definitely takes a firm stroke to click the stalk to the hold position. The quick 3-4 blink pre-click is nice for lane changes and stuff, but you need the full time signal when actually making a turn. I wouldn't mind it so much but it's annoying that I frequently flash the high beams by accident because of this like bigjht said.
3ponies
I am getting use to the 2 stage blinker. I think I will be OK with it long term..
vernonator
Well you learn something new everyday - had may SHO for a year now and did not know about the 2-stage turn signals. Will give it a try when I go out to lunch today....
MisterScott
I had the dealership replace the blinker stalk on my 2013. It was beyond reasonably hard to activate. Better now. Dealer said it was a known issue. Now if I could get the the myFordTouchSynch crap to work, that'd be great.

The F150 also has the 3 blink set up, but no where near as hard to activate as the SHO.
FoMoCoSho
I had the same issue for a while but it is much better since it has broken in. Or maybe it's the stiff wrist I apply to it now, lol. But yeah, pretty ridiculous.
Kolk1
If im in traffic, about every 10 minutes my car dings to tell me Collision assistance is not available. Tried every different setup I can find, still happens, and It wont go away unless I hit reset, then says something about radar blocked see owners manual, then I have to hit reset a 2nd time.
