New to the forum, heres my introduction

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, Im Evan. I came across this forum when googling for dyno results on a 2010 sho with the new livernois down pipes. Happy to join a forum thats not just about SHOs especially since the main one i found really sucks! Oh and doesnt appear to let new users in >:-(

Anyways, heres a video of my 2010 SHO in action against an 02 corvette C5 with an intake, tune, exhaust and TQ converter. Also a modded 05 cts-v and an IS350. Let me know what you think! And hit me up if you have installed the new down pipes or thermostat from livernois. Those are my next mods. Im currently just running the Livernois stage 4 tune on 109 octane at the track.

Evan.

Welcome to the board. Can you enable the vid for mobile devices? Also' date=' are u only running stage 4 at the track? What stage do u run day to day. And finally, without seeing the video, what track is that?[/quote']

Im only Running stage 4 with 109 octane in this video which was filmed at Fomoso raceway in California. My last track day, I also ran added spark on the standard stage 4 tune. Day to day I have been running stage 2 livernois tune or stock because the tranny kick has been pretty rough on my car and my wife hates it. She feels like its breaking the car yet she wants me to tune her car for her. (2012 G37 IPL)

As far as allowing on mobile devices, it wont let me do it for some reason! I think its because of the song I have on the video

Where do you run at?! Must be somewhere with killer DA cause if you ran at night it sounds like you would have been in the 12s. It was a cool night here when I ran. It had just rained a bit before the track opened and it was like 9pm and temps in the high 60s. Elevation is a little under 700 ft. Best 1/4 mile track within 300 miles if not more of me. Do you still have the stock rims on the car as well?

Hey Evan, welcome to the forum...as far as your question on the downpipes and t-stat...no one has the downpipes installed yet..LMS is awaiting their first shipment. I will have mine on as soon as they come in and I'll write my review of them shortly there after. I've been running a cooler t-stat for a while now...these engines run pretty hot and I think its a worthwhile investment.

Welcome to the forum Evan, thanks for your comments on youtbe... Darrell and Mikes (both of you Mike), damn! I almost pulled the trigger on those downpipes, but for one time I'll be reasonable and wait for next year. Perhaps combine a visit to Livernois next June to have them install the pipes and tune accordingly on dyno... Bigger turbos while at it? We'll see what my friend «wallet» and wifey think about that next summer! lol

He doesnt have a chance in hell but I wanted to show him a video during the online shit talking phase but apparently, I will be the first one to post a video of a sho smoking a GTO after this friday :-P

I knew that the deserts canbe very hot doing the day and very cool the same night but what's the elevation there? How much can the temp drop form day to night?

Firebird is typically around 3 to 4K DA due to the bad air here. It is a really bad track to try and do anything at for records. Luckily nitrous is the great air equilizer. :)

My friends and I do a year end vegas run every december. This year we are going dec 14th. Its a night run and temps should be in the 70s but the elevation is 2,100 ft! Vegas also is pretty hit and miss on track prepping.
