whiteygabe
So I ordered the hood stripes for my sho and found out I suck at any kind of stickers. I ended up ruining the decal and now have to reorder one side. Anybody got some advice to get it on straight?
mjhpadi
Are you using the wet or dry method? I placed the decal and then taped it in place with masking tape...making sure everything is aligned before removing the paper from the "sticky" side of the decal. I will place the masking tape every 6-8 inches and when I do start to remove the backing paper I will only remove it to the first piece of masking tape. I then press the decal in place and then peel the backing paper to the next piece of masking tape. It works well for me, but it does take more time. But I agree with you getting the stripes on straight and looking good isn't as easy as some people can make it look.
whiteygabe
Was attempting wet but with it finally being warm it dried way to quick. I think I have a new plan using your way. Basically tape it in place but only just holding it like a hinge then work my way down.
Kolk1
What I do, is use painters tape, lay it all out how you want it, and tape it down. Then start in the center, while keeping the other half taped down. And work out from the middle. Its harder to bend the decal when half of it is taped down. mjhpadi
mjhpadi
I'm sure there's a bunch of ways to make it work, Kolk's way of starting in the middle is smart too.

classiccars
Hi Gabe, This Ken with the hood stripes. I sent you an email via Paypal for the second set of stripes. (At that reduced priced we talked about for the second set.) Did you receive that Paypal invoice? Thanks Ken
Crash712us
I just use a couple drops of dish soap in a spray bottle full of water. Spray area to be applied liberally, remove back and spray liberally. Align decal squeegee excess water out, let dry before attempting remove application backing. Air bubble will work them self out in about a week.
TractorAK
Has anyone made the hood stripes or the 13 yet? I really want them in flat black.

markssho
I used the procedure crash712us stated above. I had to trim the end pieces at my paint protection film. I'm very happy with the stripes.
