bamsho
Kris and I attend the PA Auto Show. Honestly, it was so so. Really disappointed in the FORD showing. First they had the 2018 F150 and Mustang. The Mustang was ok, and really liked it. As for the performance Ecoboost, No SHO, Fusion Sport, Explorer Sport, Edge Sport, just a Fiesta ST. The other building, one dealer had a Focus RS in a fade color, that's another thing. Sat in the RS, really LOVED the front seats, reminds me of the old Gen 1,2 seats, they really hold you in place. Def could get into trouble in that car. The other manufacturers didnt have they big boy toys there either. Now for the fade color. Seen alot of what I called the "primer grey" look. Even when I talked with the salesman about the RS, he said people say that alot the RS. It doesn't look good on anything. Even the new Raptor FORD had there was painted in that color. As for the Raptor, it's a nice truck, but not 70K nice. Rather get an regular F150. SHOdded

mjhpadi
Thanks for posting your review of the show Brian...I have been kinda disappointed every time I've went....so I'm not surprised that it wasn't anything more then a bunch of dealers inventory together at the Farm Show complex..... SHOdded
Maybe they are foregoing painting their cars altogether, just primer + clearcoat LOL. Paint thickness seems to be on the decline in the last few years.
mval
brian: went to the show in st louis & if you like f150's fine for ford, otherwise was disappointed as no fusion st, a nice lincoln 3.0, but i'm to anal to think about keeping that front grill clean. i like some chrome, but it's way over the top. now if you were a fca fan big showing & decided to keep working & not retire & make the plunge after seeing one live to replace my dd besides my chally friend got me employee family pricing. so got a yellowjacket scat pack w/shaker hood being built for me. sho will remain my show car & occupy garage space & will be pride & joy. but have a 485hp dd isn't all bad. bpd1151
Seems lime most mfg'ers are pushing out the truck platform rather heavily. Which, although trucks are cool and all, the way all these trucks are being pushed out, it almost seems to me like their's a huge void being created in the sedan market. The only rationale I can plausibly place my finger on, is that gas prices (for the time being) are relatively low and the market supports the truck sales. I'm gonna laugh once fuel prices jump up again, and then there'll be a flood of trucks hitting the used car market, and then sedans will come back into play. @ Mike...... glad to hear about your new DD acquisition. Even better hearing the SHO will be being relegated to special status and only driven for fun, or for shows, etc. Seems like you're following my lead. Cool stuff.
