SHO-MAN
Does anyone know where I can get the headrest for the SHO embroidered? I thought there might be a site where you could do a core trade in but I can't seem to find one on the web. I would love to get "SHO" embroidered on all headrest. There is a place where I get my company logo embroidered on my shirts, I guess I could ask them; tho not sure if they would need to de-construct the headrest to embroider it. I have seen embroidered covers that go over the seat or headrest but IMO it looks to cheap. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a company that does core exchanges? EcoBrick Bob
The headrest cover comes off easily. Take out one of the headrests, and note how the cover is installed with velcro etc. I purchased 2011 headrests for my 2010 Flex. (New design -fit better for most people) They came in 2 pieces, ordered separately, the base unit with foam and the rods, and the covers. If you wanted , you could buy new covers and have them embroidered, and keep the stock covers for installation when you sell the SHO. With the cover off, your embroidery contact should be able to do the logo, provided they can handle vinyl/leather materials.

gipraw
I have never done business with this site, but a bunch of guys on F150online and a few other boards have been pleased with the work, if you can't find someone local. http://www.lorileedesigns.com/index.html

mjhpadi
The question is what color would you get the SHO embroidered on the headrests? It sure would be nice...I do like the idea!

My opinion would be match the logo to the color of the car or if you have the Miko suede inserts, match that up.
RedCandySHO
I have a great supplier for embroidery stuff. Maybe I will see if she can do mine. Does the headrest cover just slide off?

SHO-MAN
I have a great supplier for embroidery stuff. Maybe I will see if she can do mine. Does the headrest cover just slide off? The local embroidery shop will be doing mine as soon as I bring in a template for them to digitize. The color I will be doing mine in will be red. The cost is as follows: $50.00 one time set-up fee $20.00 per headrest.. I will be doing all four for $130.00. Not sure it that is expensive or cheap, I really don't have anything to compare it too. I just need to bring in a template now.

Just throwing this out...I would like to have my front headrests done...if you want to I would be willing to bring mine down to your shop and then I would split the set-up fee with you. Just let me know if that works for you, and we can do the logistics and figure out when to get together.
SHO-MAN
Got a problem, hope the forum can help.... all this talk of the embroidered headrest has got me excited to get it done. I left work early to drop off some work shirts to get company logo embroidered, spoke to the guy in the back room about the headrest. He told me if I could get the leather covers off at drop off Monday he would stitch them next week. He also told me if I use an existing font they already have loaded (they have 1012 fonts) he would only charge me $10.00 per headrest..oh yeah!! (fist pump)...ok here is the problem, got home, popped a beer, changed clothes and proceeded to attempt to remove the headrest. I lifted the headrest, pressed the release button and proceeded to pull.. It won't come out..it still seems locked in. Has any one removed the headrest on the 2010 SHO?....HELP! I am planning on getting the SHO and twin turbo underneath in red Mark, (mjhpadi) if you want to get together just PM me and we can talk about getting yours done at the same time or if you want to wait to see how they turn out. EcoBrick Bob
Know the ones in the Flex come out as I changed to the 2011 design. Came in 2 pieces, the headrest support & foam, and the covers. Both had to be ordered separately. Perhaps you can remove the covers when headrests are pulled up all the way, if you can't get them out completely.
SHO-MAN
Ok, I called the dealership this morning to inquire about headrest removal..apparently there are two (2) buttons located on the headrest post. Left button is the height adjustment and the button on the right post (the button is recessed in the plastic trim, hard to see) is the release for the lock that prevent the headrest from coming out. Press the recessed button on the right and "bingo" headrest comes off...yea baby time to get the headrest embroidered...

10SECSHO
One thing I learned is that the foam that is put inside the head rest cover is put in under vacuum so that it goes in easy and then expands after the vacuum is taken off.
