New SHO Ordered

Recommended Posts

Just a note to introduce myself. I ordered my '13 SHO on Saturday 031612.

I currently own a 1977 Thunderbird Town Landau, a 1994 Thunderbird (314,000 miles!), 2002 Thunderbird, and a 2007 Explorer SporTrac.

By the way, I only buy American cars, Built in America, By Americans!

Welcome :welcome:

Quite the collection in your stable spanning decades!

Impressive :hail:

Pics when the SHO arrives, as well as any others you may have from those other beauties, would be a sight to behold.

Glad to have you on board! :thumb:

Congrats. I think you will enjoy. As an overall package, the SHO is fairly remarkable. A large sedan that runs 13's in the 1/4 isn't all that special; a large sedan that handles quite well isn't all that special; a large sedan that manages to feel a lot smaller than it actually is when you drive it isn't all that special; a large sedan that rides smoothly and quietly isn't all that special. But a large sedan that does all of those at once... that's pretty interesting. And that's the SHO for you.

Welcome to the site!

I think you'll love the SHO because we had similar cars. I had a 97 TBird sport that handled great and was fun to drive but needed more power, sold it at 225K miles (should remove it from my album since i don't have it anymore). I also had a 03 LS sport (same DEW98 platform as the Tbird) that handled great was fun to drive, but again needed more power. Got the SHO, with springs and a tune it is fun to drive handles great and HAS power.

Have fun with your new ride!
